2017 LAPF
INVESTMENTS AWARDS

Event Date: September 18, 2017
Venue: The British Medical Association, London
Host: Martin Bayfield

The 2017 LAPF Investments Awards ceremony was held at the British Medical Association on 19th September. Superbly hosted by ex England rugby international, Martin Bayfield, the great and the good of the LGPS turned up in their droves for a fantastic night of celebration for the local authority pension fund sector.

Big winners on the night included Lothian, Dyfed and Legal & General. Jill Davys was the recipient of the Outstanding Contribution of the Year Award, and other winners included JLT Employee Benefits, Greater Manchester, Darwin Property, Newham, Strathclyde and Surrey. The judges sometimes choose to step outside the published lists of awards if they feel special recognition in the sector is warranted, and a particularly well-received announcement was the presentation of the Judges Award to Geik Drever of West Midlands.

Guest presenter, Martin Bayfield, was hugely entertaining and kept the capacity crowd enthralled throughout the busy programme.
