Independent Investment Adviser

Clare is an independent adviser, providing advice and support for local government pension funds on investment and other issues. Between 2005 and 2018, she managed the award-winning £8billion Lothian Pension Fund, the latter 6 years as Chief Executive. During her time there, the Fund developed the internal investment team which in-sourced the majority of investment management, creative innovative governance structure and established collaboration with other funds. During this time, she was also an adviser to the Scottish LGPS Scheme Advisory Board. Clare has also worked as an investment consultant for private and public pension funds and is a qualified actuary.
